U.S. construction spending rises in line with expectations in November

The Commerce Department announced on Monday that construction spending rose 0.9 percent m-o-m in November after a revised 1.6 percent m-o-m climb in October (originally a 1.3 percent m-o-m advance).

Economists had forecast construction spending increasing 0.9 percent m-o-m in November.

According to the report, spending on private construction increased 1.2 percent m-o-m, while investment in public construction declined 0.2 percent m-o-m.
