The
Commerce Department announced on Monday that construction spending rose 0.2
percent m-o-m in March after a revised 0.6 percent m-o-m drop in February
(originally a 0.8 percent m-o-m decrease).
Economists
had forecast construction spending growing 1.9 percent m-o-m in March.
According
to the report, spending on private construction rose 0.7 percent m-o-m, while investment
in public construction fell 1.5 percent m-o-m.
