The number of active U.S. oil rigs declines by 8 rigs to 343 last week

The oil driller Baker Hughes reported on Friday that the number of active U.S. oil rigs fell by 8 rigs to 343 last week. It was the lowest level since 2009.

The number of gas rigs declined by 1 to 88.

Combined oil and gas rigs decreased by 9 to 431.
