The employment report prepared by Automatic Data Processing Inc. (ADP) and Moody's Analytics showed on Wednesday the U.S. private employers added 365,000 jobs in October. This was the second-lowest reading in six months.

Economists had expected an increase of 650,000.

The September number saw an upward revision to 753,000 from the originally reported 749,000.

“The labor market continues to add jobs, yet at a slower pace,” noted Ahu Yildirmaz, vice president and co-head of the ADP Research Institute. “Although the pace is slower, we’ve seen employment gains across all industries and sizes.”
